Del Rey Villa Apartments
If viewing from the Falmouth Ave horizon, the structure overlooks a huge park, that is a shared public space used for community events. The Apartment complex was designed to be an infield structure. Its objective is to create a conversation between the community, architecture and environment. This is achieved by utilizing this sites impressive height and location. One of the central themes of this project is airflow. The airflow strategy I have employed reflects the prevalent ocean breeze at this location, the building faces South East which makes it both in the direction of the ocean and the natural wind current of the Playa Del Rey Area.
